“Intelligent Sensing Technology Based Variable Motor Protection”developed by Taizhou Electric Power Plant,Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group Company Ltd. and SIFANG passed technical appraisal organized by The appraisal committee members are experts from Zhejiang University, North China Electric Power University,Tsinghua University,China Electric Power Research Institute,Zhejiang Electric Power Test Institute, Power Dispatching and Communication Center of South Grid, Datang International Power Generation, Huadian Power International Corporaton Limited, China Huaneng Group and Guodian No.1 Power Generation Co., Ltd.
After discussion and argumentation, the experts agreed on the conclusion as follows: The product’s overall technical performance has reached international advanced level. The wide frequency rang intelligent sensor and variable frequency motor differential protection technology are innovative in China.
The project is based on intelligent sensing technology, digital transmission sampling data. It distinguishes itself especially when there is long transmission line. Besides, automatic switch can be made under power frequency/variable frequency operating modes to realize maximum protection range.
